This title for a screenplay is very vague, I know. This is a type of comedic, drama, humorous, love story. About two women to meet and eventually fall in love. They spend half of their life together only to be broken apart due to the emotional detachment from each other. This tells how couples can get so comfortable with each other and forget how the little things matter most. This story will make you laugh until you piddle on yourself and it will make you cry from the heartbreak that these two women go through. This shows you that heartache is real. You will be able to feel their pain and pleasure as you walk next to them in their life together. What happens to them after they break up? You will just have to wait and read it.

Week 6 EOC: How do I see my role starting in the industry?

How do I see my rold. Well to start I will be on the bottom. I am totally ok with that. I am not going to walk out of school and think that I am going to land some big time job. Would it be nice? Of course it will. Is it realistic, no. I know that I will have to start on the very bottom being a coffee runner or personal assistant just to get my foot in the door. I don't care if I have to wrap cables. I will do whatever it takes to get myself out there. Everyone always starts on the floor and slowly stands themselves up and reaches for the sky. So where do I see my role? Right here, next to you, waiting for my break to show you what I can do.

Week 5 EOC: Progress towards my Four Professional Contacts and Progress on Networking.

I am slowly working towards some contacts. I am looking to go into a business where being shy isn't the best idea. I do kind of have to get over that. I recently went to my first First Friday show in I don't even know how long. I absolutely loved it! I realized how much I really do love art and how it is such on influence on everything we do. Everywhere we look there is art. Being out someplace where you have the opportunity to meet so many new people and eventually turn them into friends or projects or business partners is great. I know that I will defiantly be attending every First Friday that I can possibly attend.

Week 5 Photo Challenge: In the Director's Chair

For this project we had to create ourselves in a directors chair. To do something like this without actually sitting in a chair like that you kinda have to know what you are doing with Photoshop. Yes I said it, Photoshop. This is a great program once you figure out how to use it. Even the basics are fun in it. So to start the picture I had a friend of mine take a few different pictures of me. I then picked the one i liked the most. Of course it would be way to easy to have me sit the exact way I would need to in the seat. So I had to layer this picture 3 different times. I used the mask, layer and eraser tool the most for this. I also did a small amount of cloning for the shirt area. The original chair I sat in had vertical bars on the back of the chair so I had to block those out and I did. I think for a small project like this it did take a small amount of time to get the positioning right and for someone who is still extremely new at this would have a bit more of trouble doing it. It is always good experience doing it though.

I have always wanted to create my own business and now I am in a state of mind where I can actually do it. I can put myself out there. I can put my work out there and let people see what I can do and what I can offer them. I want to create a business in creation. I would like to help people in advertising what they as a business can offer. In shooting commercials, some sort of tutorials, or safety dvd's of some sort. Companies want to be able to advertise themselves and I want to be able to help them get out there. In doing that I can, in turn put myself out there. I'm not looking for huge mainstream companies but just small businesses like myself. I want people to know that I can record all their audio, their video and then do all the editing on it to show the story that they want to express. I am an LLC business and am looking for new clients.

Week 3 Photo Challenge: Storyboard for a commercial

Ok so for this post I had to create a storyboard for a commercial. To me I think breast cancer is very important. So I did some research on breast cancer and found out that breast cancer is also common among men. It's not as publicly talked about as much as women but is just as important. Because women go to the gynecologist every year to get checked out it might be easier for a woman to spot the onset of something. I don't think men worry about their breasts as much. I mean we do know that they go get their prostate checked and all because that is a very common form of cancer for men but they should also be worrying about their breasts as well. Kind of sounds funny to say that men should worry about their breasts but they really need to pay attention and not just worry about one section of their body. I want to make a commercial or even a PSA about Breast Cancer awareness and how important it is for woman and Men to go get checked out. Life is to short to not care about yourself. We need to take care of ourselves while we are here and not shorten ourselves of anything.

Week 3 EOC: Where are you now and where are you going?

Where am I right now you ask. I am working full time, not in my field of study, and I am going to school. Am I working in my ideal place? No. I do love my job but it is not my career. It is my day to day job that gets me through and pays my bills. Where am I going. Wow I want to answer that in so many ways. I want to go in every direction. I want to do anything and everything I can in my field. I want to experience every aspect of my career. I want to record, audio and video, for commercials, short films, documentaries, movies or whatever I can get my hands in. I will not say no to something because I can get the experience that I need to know. I want to be able to say that I have done this or that a time or two. I just want to get my foot in the door to anything. Eventually in the long run that will all lead to me starting my own company. I want to go everywhere.

Week Two BOC: Intellectual Property

What is going on with some major websites today. It is a crazy day in history for the Internet. Some of the Internet sites are taking a stand. Wikipedia is on a black out. Google has a black box over their name. If you are not sure what is going on take the time and read up on the current situation. The government wants to regulate what we can do on the Internet. Why would you want to take away a source that is available to millions upon millions of people? I totally understand that the government wants to stop all the copyright infringement that goes on through the Internet but at the same time they are going to hinder everyone else who doesn’t take advantage of it. The fact that I, who will be a small business owner, a owner of a website, could possibly be shut down because of a link, that I have on my site, goes to another website that has some copyright infringement issues on it would be horrible. Never would I purposely put myself or my business in jeopardy. Why would I risk something that I want to accomplish and make a career out of. Is copyright infringement out there, Yes. Is it illegal, Yes. Is it wrong to download things illegally, Yes. Will people ever stop downloading, No. If people actually went about bought the things they downloaded it wouldn’t be so bad because those artists would still get paid. Yes when money is started to be taken away from artists to put hard work and dedication into their work it is wrong. Someday I will be out there trying to get my work seen. Do I want the SOPA OR PIPA bills to pass, No. that will hinder me having a chance to be seen by people all over the world. Together we can all stop this bill from passing. I don’t want to be regulated by the government as what I can see or do. Stop SOPA and PIPA.

Week 1 BOC: Animated film festival

Ok so I had to create an animated film festival movie. I used a site called Xtranormal. My idea behind this movie was something sort of simple. I was looking through all the different scenes and actors and things and when I cam to the Homeboyz Movie, instantly I saw Missy Elliot and Biggie. Well the Biggie for the most part looks like him but not fully so I changed the name. To add to the joke I gave the male rapper a different name, Big P along with an English accent. You don't see a lot of black rappers with english accents. So I wanted to just show a simple story on how someone can be discovered. He was just in an alley at the right time when someone walked by who heard him. He does a small freestyle and then Missy does a freestyle. I just wanted to do something funny. These voices are kinda robotic so to hear them talk in this way adds some humor. Hope you enjoy it.

Week 1 EOC: What sacrifices are you willing to make for your Career?

What sacrifices am I willing to give up for my career, that is a great question. I wish I could say I wouldn't have to give up anything but in reality that wouldn't be true at all. When I made the decision to come to school I already made sacrifices. My everyday life would change. I wouldn't be able to go out with my friends when I wanted to, I couldn't go to any kind of family or friend function when I wanted to. My life would be a schedule for the next three years. I would have to schedule my work availability around my school schedule and then try to fit in a relationship around all that as well. Then anything else I wanted to do would have to be scheduled around my work and school schedule. Oh and then don't forget homework because that takes up the rest of the time I have. So by going to school I already did some sacrificing. For my career I would do whatever it takes to get where I want to go. I realize that I will eventually have to relocate somewhere else and as much as I don't want to do that I will. The only reason why I don't want to is because Vegas is my home. It's what I know. To move to a new place can be scary. I wouldn't know anyone or know where anything is or what to do. Sometimes change like that is good but scary. You have to want to embrace change not run or hide from it. I will give up my life for my career. I want to make a name for myself. I want people who know who I am. When they hear my name I want them to say oh yea I know who that is. I will start at the bottom of wherever I have to and work my way up or work my way to be my own person doing my own thing. I want to experience everything I can on my way up so when I have my own company I know what other people are going to have to go through on their road to the top. So what will I sacrifice for my career? There isn't a lot left that I won't sacrifice.
